Herbs for Sensuality

Celebrate the joyous energy of Beltane and join herbalist Brenna Lilly for a workshop all about the connection between herbs and sensuality. While many herbs have been popularized for their use as aphrodisiacs, sensuality goes beyond simple arousal. To be sensual is to be deeply present, fully in one’s own body while in-touch with one’s surroundings, radiant with vitality and able to calmly enjoy the richness of life.

Particular herbs can help us access these deeper states of calm so that we may become fully present and experience the healing energy of sensuality. Enjoying the herbs themselves (whether in a warm cup of tea, decadent syrup, or soothing steam) can be a deeply sensuous experience.

Sensuality can be practiced with others, but it truly begins with oneself. Participants will be introduced to multiple herbs that can help us feel more present and sensual, and will sample a variety of herbal delights. Ages 18 and up, please (conversation will be generally PG-13).

Brenna is a community herbalist based in the New Hampshire Seacoast, and owner of Brisingamen Botanicals, specializing in organic herbal tea blends. She is a trained Sacred Gaian herbalist and pelvic steam practitioner.

Classes will take place at the Deadwick's Common Room, 19 Sheafe St., Portsmouth, NH and will run approximately two hours. Please arrive promptly at 6pm, and allow time for parking. Guests attending via Zoom will be emailed a class link prior to the class.
