Palo Santo (Bursera Graveolens) is a mystical tree that grows throughout Central and South America. In Spanish, the name means “Holy Wood”. The Palo Santo tree belongs to the same botanical family (Burseraceae) as frankincense and myrrh trees. It has sweet notes of pine, mint and lemon.
Palo Santo can be used for its cleansing and healing properties similar to that of sage and cedar.
